First Week Complete...

So I got all of my assignments completed for the week... which somehow doesn't end until Tuesday night, yet the assignments are due by Sunday at midnight.
Side note on that: When exactly is Sunday at midnight? Is is the moment after Saturday at 11:59? Or the moment after Sunday at 11:59? I'm treating it as the former. Who knows.
I guess the assignments are due so that the group leaders can grade them appropriately.
Our small group consists of 7 or 8 members... and only three of us have completed the assignments as of Saturday at 10:30am. That's interesting. One chick is already into next week's assignments. I, however, have a life, a bunch of dirty dishes since the dishwasher is RETARDED, and the need to go rape Circuit City's clearance for a printer and a filing cabinet.
So, I haven't done next week's stuff yet. I'll get it done tomorrow or Monday, since Fake Christmas with the family starts as soon as we get on the road on Thursday.
The madre sounded a bit peeved when I told her I have a webinex seminar on how to use the library from 1200-1300 on Saturday. The actually fake Christmas Day.
So sorry, but the library is virtual and 2300 miles away and it's an assignment.
I ordered Elements of Style, Mastering APA Style: Student's workbook and training guide, Critical Thinking in Psychology, and the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 5th Edition today from Amazon. Used, naturally.
The last two were requirements for the orientation in Santa Barbara, the first two because my stupid ass can't pass the APA quiz because I forgot you can't use "significant" in the way they were using it over and over again in the little paragraph we had to edit.
First off, I'd never write like that, so I totally missed all 6 errors by not calling them an error, but chalking it up to poor writing style. Then I got so distracted by the idiotic usage of "Oriental" in a description of the ethnicity of participants, that I missed the hyphenated use of "Mexican-American."
I shouldn't have taken it right after getting up and before my l-carnitine.
But, it wasn't for a grade, more as a learning exercise.
AND, I may have found a roommate for the on-site orientation in Santa Barbara.
Which could potentially save me half of my $139/night +12% hotel tax + sales tax for seven nights. Which would make it around $660 instead of $1150 (the current chick is leaving a night earlier). Please keep fingers crossed on that one.
And now I'm off to do the dishes, take a shower, return two stupid impulse buy shirts to Anthropologie and get my $85 back, got to Circuit City, maybe TJ Maxx to use the whopping $15 Christmas gift certificate from work, then to Culhane's for Irish drums and pipes and to Tama Sushi for dinner. Then tomorrow, school for a few hours and laundry. Lots of laundry.
But, I did intervals on the treadmill yesterday for 20 minutes of 3.5mph at 5% incline for 2 minutes and 5.8-6.0 mph for one minute without any white flashes in my vision, woot for me!
Plus 30 minutes of weight training on the legs. :)
Happy week.
